About Tiffany

Curator's notes
  • 169 cm, petite build
  • Chocolate brown hair, long and glossy; brown eyes
  • Twenty-four, graceful and playful
  • Design hotels, champagne, street photography
  • Lives in Soho

Tiffany straightens picture frames in hotel corridors. She does it without thinking, the way other people tuck in a stray label, and it is the first clue to her: a graceful, playful woman who notices every detail and cares about getting each one right.

She is twenty-four and 169 cm with a petite build, her chocolate brown hair long and glossy, her brown eyes bright whenever something amuses her. Tiffany lives in Soho. She dresses in a relaxed, bohemian way with a flash of sequins: a glittering top under a tailored jacket, fine gold jewellery, hair worn loose. The effect is polished without ever looking effortful.

Design hotels are her favourite subject and champagne her favourite punctuation. She photographs the details other people walk past, a door handle, a tiled step, a reflection in a brass lift, and keeps an album of the best hotel lobbies in London. She never photographs guests. In conversation she is playful, quick to tease and quicker to laugh at herself, and she speaks English with polished charm.

In SW7 she adores Blakes on Roland Gardens, a dark, theatrical hotel just off Old Brompton Road, famous for its dramatic interiors. A glass of champagne in its moody bar is her idea of the perfect opening, and she will have spotted three beautiful details before the second sip. Dinner follows nearby, then a short taxi to your hotel near Gloucester Road, or simply the lift if you are lucky enough to be staying there.

After hours · Tiffany

An evening with Tiffany

Tiffany's evening begins in low light at Blakes, two glasses of champagne and a low banquette with a view of the whole room. She will point out the lacquered screens, the dramatic flowers and the way the staff move through it all without a sound. By the second glass she will have photographed the brass rail of the bar, never a person, and shown you why it is beautiful.

Dinner is somewhere with good design and better food, and she orders with the precision of someone who has read the menu twice. Afterwards a taxi to your hotel, where she inspects the lobby, approves of the lighting or does not, and then settles in as playful, graceful company for the rest of the booking.

Three questions · 03

In Tiffany's words

I change my answer every season. Right now it is anywhere with velvet, low lamps and staff who remember your name.

Never guests, and rarely strangers. I prefer details: a door, a staircase, a glass catching the light. Details never mind being looked at closely.

Whatever the sommelier is proud of that week. I love being surprised, and good sommeliers love being asked.
